Troubleshooting Error Message: Remoting Request invalid for your session
Why am I seeing an error when saving my call log? What does ‘Remoting request invalid for your session’ mean?
An error message can occur when a Salesforce page has expired and invalidated a session token. Below are some potential causes and solutions for this error.
What can cause this error?
When attempting to save the call log, this error may display: “Remoting request invalid for your session”
- Any additional Salesforce tab in the background that hasn’t been touched for duration of session timeout can invoke this error
- Example: 5 tabs are open but the agent only works from 4. After a session timeout has been reached on this 5th page, Salesforce will throw an error
- Session timeout settings can be adjusted by Salesforce Administrators
- Default session timeout is 2 hours
When an agent is on the phone during one of these timeouts, the remoting error will occur because Salesforce pushes the expired token to the new task.
